BEDIO: Reader’s Problems Book Tag

Happy Sunday!

I decided to dig out another book tag that has been sitting in my drafts for a couple of years, and this time, all the answers are blank! πŸ˜‚ I also figured since it’s October and Halloween is coming up, each question is going to be decorated in the most festive fashion.

I originally found this tag on the blog Lauren’s Bookshelf.

Now, here we go with the tag!

You have 20,000 books in your TBR, how in the world do you decide what to read next?

As a mood reader, I’ll basically figure it out by figuring out how I’m feeling πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ Am I in the mood for a romance? I’ll pick it up. Want to dive into a long fantasy series? I’ll go ahead and start it.

You're halfway through a book and you're just not loving it. Do you put it down or are you committed?

I’ll put it down, as I don’t have the time, energy, or patience anymore to push myself to read a book I’m simply not enjoying πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

The end of the year is coming and you're behind on your reading challenge, do you try to catch up? And if so, how?

I’ll definitely work on catching up! Since there are graphic novels and manga series I’m interested in reading, I would just pick up something in one of these formats.

The covers of series you love do not match, how do you cope?

Cry πŸ˜‚ If I had all the money in the world, I would replace the books that have my least favorite cover, but since I don’t… I’ll just stick with crying 😝

Everyone and their mother loves a book that you do not. Who do you bond with over your shared feelings?

Ohhh this one is difficult πŸ€” I usually find that I typically expect to disagree with when it comes to liking or disliking a book are the ones I end up agreeing with… so I tread lightly until I know they won’t get too upset about me ranting about not liking the book πŸ˜‚

You're reading a book in public, and you're about to start crying. How do you deal?

I would probably find the nearest bathroom, let myself cry, or try and think about something else. It kind of depends on what I’m able to do in the moment, and how self-conscious I’m feeling haha

The sequel to a book you loved just came out, but you've forgotten a lot of what happens. Are you going to re-read it?

Most likely no, as I typically start remembering what happens when I start reading the sequel. However, if I’m completely lost, I’ll probably go back to the first book, or I’ll just look it up online… just depends on how much time I have.

You do not want anyone to borrow your books. How do you politely say no when someone asks?

Them: “Can I borrow your book?”

Me: “Nope!”

Usually I’m excited for people to borrow my books, so it isn’t an issue I run into too often, but if it’s a book that’s a special edition or something, I don’t feel the need to explain any further than just a simple no.

You have picked up and put down 5 books in the last month. How do you get over this reading slump?

When this happens, it means that I just need a break from reading, so I’ll start a new TV show, watch a movie, or watch through YouTube just to give my brain a rest from reading. It’s a hobby after all, so there are going to be times when I just feel like doing something else, it’s normal.

There are so many books coming out that you are dying to read. How many do you end up buying?

Hahahahahaha well… probably none because I don’t have the money to purchase every single book that’s coming out (and I’ll usually wait for others to review them).

After you purchase all of these books that you're dying to read, how long so they sit on your shelves before you get to them?

After I get a book, I rarely read it right away. It may take me a couple months to a couple years to get to a book after I get it πŸ˜‚

And that’s all I have for today! If you have any thoughts on the questions presented in this tag, feel free to share them in the comments below!

Otherwise, I will see you tomorrow with a new post (:
