Poetry Prompt #14

Hello everyone, and happy Monday!

It’s been quite the weekend with the election and everything, but now a new week has started, and it’s time for another Poetry Prompt Monday. For today’s prompt, I thought it would be good to focus on the concept of new beginnings.

On that note, here is what I got for today!

The rain pours from the sky,

Bringing the wet earth smell,

Bringing life back to thirsty plants.

The rain drenches the ground,

Washing away the dirt and dust

Washing away the oil on the streets.

The rain cleanses the world,

Giving it the chance,

To grow,

And become something new.

Something bright.

Something even more alive,

Than it was before.

Thank you for reading, and I will see y’all with a new post soon.
