Hello everyone! I hope you’ve all been having a great weekend and a happy Sunday ☀
It’s been one week since the Fortnight Frights readathon started, so I figure I would do an update post about my progress so far!
Currently, I’ve finished reading one book Lobizona, as well as the poem “The Goblin Market”. I’m now in the middle of two books, The Jumbies and The Bad Seed.
I still have the following books/short stories I need to read to complete my TBR, but only two more to get a bingo (or possibly two? 😱)!
To get a Bingo, I need to read either:
A Horror Comic: Skull-Face Bookseller Honda-San by Honda San
With an Undead Character: Was it a Dream? by Guy de Maupassant
or
A Short Story: The Fall of the House of Usher by Edgar Allen Poe
To complete my TBR, I need to read:
A Translated Piece: Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead by Olga Tokarczuk; Translated from Polish by Antonia Lloyd-Jones
Written by an Indigenous Author: The Only Good Indians by Stephen Graham Jones (I forgot to mention this in my post last week)
Written by an LGBTQ+ Author: The Other by Thomas Tryon (Another book I forgot to mention before, but I’ve had on my bookshelf for awhile, so hopefully I get to it!
Right now, I’m just focusing on getting the bingo, but when I do, I’m going to see how many of these books I can complete before the end of the readathon. Here’s what my card looks like currently:
