Hey everybody, I hope you’re having a great week! If not, you can always try this drink as a little midweek pick me up 😉😂
This is the Poison Apple Cocktail from Pintrest, and I’m not going to lie, the reason why I was drawn to this drink is because of the gold glitter mixed in.
It just looks so cool!
I wasn’t sure how this was going to turn out, because this has Fireball in it, which is probably one of my least favorite things. It’s so strong, and I don’t like artificial cinnamon taste. In the end though, it turned out to not be too bad!
I’ll go into more detail at the end about what I would change, but for now, let’s get started!
Original Pin: https://pin.it/ov74pyt5c36nin
Ingredients:
-1/3 cup of Apple Cider
-1/3 cup of Cranberry Juice
-2 oz. of Fireball*
-1 oz. of Grenadine*
-1/4 tsp. of edible gold glitter**
-Ice
*If you’re like me and didn’t know this, 1 oz. = 1 shot. So it’s 2 shots of Fireball
**I found the edible glitter on Amazon, but the one that I bought is currently unavailable. However, it still looks like there are other companies that are selling it on Amazon as well; just make sure it’s actually edible glitter.
Instructions:
Combine all the ingredients, including the ice, into a shaker. Shake for about 30 seconds, or until the drink is chilled. This drink is not served on the rocks (the condensation from the ice on the glass interferes with the effect of the gold glitter), so pour everything but the ice into your glass of choice.
Final Result:
The drink itself isn’t actually bad, it’s just that the Fireball is so strong that it overpowers everything else. If I were to make this again, I would definitely only put one shot of Fireball in, especially as I’m not the biggest fan of it. I also think that I put too much grenadine into the drink, because the ones that I made looked more red than the picture on Pintrest.
Other than that, the drink isn’t that bad, and the glitter does look really awesome when it’s done correctly! Overall, I would rate the drink a 4/10 taste wise, but definitely a 10/10 appearance wise! The instructions were clear as well, although I don’t remember seeing any mention of serving it without ice to give the glitter effect its moment of glory, but other than that, they were simple and easy to follow.
In the end, I would recommend this drink for everyone to try, but you do have to make each drink individually, so keep that in mind if you’re thinking of making this for a Halloween party.
That’s all I have for today, I hope you all have a good day! Thanks again for reading and supporting me as I blog everyday, because it’s definitely not an easy thing to do 😂
On that note, I will see you tomorrow with a new post!
