WWW Wednesdays (01/17/24)

Hey everyone, and welcome back to another WWW Wednesday!

I don’t have too many exciting updates aside from what I’m reading, so let’s go ahead and get into it!

WWW Wednesdays were originally hosted by A Daily Rhythm but have been revived by Sam from Taking on a World of Words.

What I Finished Reading

As I mentioned in my last WWW Wednesday, I was reading The Body by Stephen King, and I finished it! I also just realized that it was the source material for the movie Stand By Me, which I watched back in college. So, if you’ve seen the movie but haven’t read the novella or vice versa, I recommend checking it out!

What I’m Currently Reading

The Color of Magic (Discworld, #1; Rincewind, #1) by Terry Pratchett | Goodreads

I’m getting back into reading The Color of Magic by Terry Pratchett, as I actually started reading it in December but only got about 40 pages in before I stopped and got distracted by the holidays. I’m not 100% sure how I feel about it yet, but I’ll keep reading on to see whether I end up liking it!

What I Want To Read Next

Since The Color Magic is one of the Discworld novels, I might read The Light Fantastic next, as I have a copy of it (unless I don’t feel like reading any more of the series, but we’ll see!).

I’ve also been thinking of reading Blackout, which is a YA short story anthology focusing on Black teen romance and has stories from six well-known YA authors. I picked up the ARC a few years ago when I worked at BN, and it’s been sitting on my shelf since then. I’m thinking now is a good time to pick it up, especially as I love Angie Thomas and Tiffany D. Jackson’s writing.

And that’s it for this week’s WWW Wednesday!

What are you currently reading? Just finished a good book? Let me know in the comments below!

Otherwise, I will see you in the next post!

    1. Thanks, I hope you enjoy yours as well! For Blackout, it seems like it would be such a fun and quick read, I have no idea why I haven’t picked it up yet haha
