WWW Wednesday (07/20/22)

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday!

This week’s WWW Wednesday will actually be about books, because I’ve been reading… Woohoo! πŸŽ‰

Anyways, let’s get into it!

WWW Wednesdays were originally, hosted by A Daily Rhythm but has been revived by Sam from Taking on a World of Words.

What I Finished Reading

I finally finished The Song Of Achilles by Madeline Miller! It took me some time to get into it, but the writing was beautiful and made me want to continue reading. It reminds me of Anthony Doerr’s writing, a slower read, but it’s definitely worth taking the time to sit with the story. The last 1/4 of the book really picked up the pace and I finished it all in one night, so it picks up the pace.

What I’m Currently Reading

I’m getting back to reading The Well of Ascension, and I’m glad I did because I feel more ready to dive into a longer fantasy book than I did when I started trying to read this over a month ago πŸ˜… I’m only three chapters in (maybe four? I can’t remember off the top of my head), but I can’t wait to get delve further into the story!

What I’m Planning On Reading Next

This one is a bit difficult, as I have a lot of books I want to read right now! Although, isn’t that always the case? Haha

I know I’ll definitely be reading more of The Girl From The Other Side (which I mentioned in my Top Ten Tuesday post yesterday), but other than that… It’s all up in the air.

And that’s all I have for today β˜€

What are you currently reading? Let me know in the comments below!

And on that note, I will see you in the next post 🌻

    1. The writing in Song of Achilles has a an almost poetic feel to it too, and I think the fact that it was written in first person made it more interesting!
And thanks! I’m definitely getting back into reading it more than I have the past few weeks!

  1. New glasses provide me with a desire to read a book once again. What do you think I should start with? What has been your favorite book of the year?

    1. Hi Judy! I think two of my favorite reads this year that you would probably enjoy are either Song of Achilles (it’s a historical fiction novel based on the story of Achilles from Greek Mythology) or Delilah Green Doesn’t Care (a sapphic rom-com type story that was a really fun read!)
