Hey everyone and happy Sunday! I hope you all had a great weekend and are ready to tackle on this new week (:
As I mentioned in my last WWW Wednesday post, I have made it my goal to watch all 22 Studio Ghibli films.
It all started when I got this adorable My Neighbor Totoro backpack for my birthday, even though I had never seen the film. Turns out that most of the Studio Ghibli films are on HBO Max (except for Grave of the Fireflies). Anyways, I decided to watch it, and it made me want to watch ALL the Studio Ghibli films.
I already watched a few Studio Ghibli films before this little marathon which were:
- Howl’s Moving Castle
- Spirited Away
- Princess Mononoke
- Kiki’s Delivery Service
- Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind

I haven’t re-watched any of these films yet, mostly because I want to focus on the films I haven’t seen yet. Anyways, here is what I have watched so far during the marathon:
- Castle In The Sky
- My Neighbor Totoro
- Porco Rosso
- Ocean Waves
- Whisper Of The Heart
- The Cat Returns
- Ponyo
- From Up On Poppy Hill
- The Wind Rises
- When Marnie was There

And now, based on process of elimination, this is what I still need to watch:
- Grave of the Fireflies
- Only Yesterday
- Pom Poko
- My Neighbors The Yamadas
- Tales From Earthsea
- The Secret World of Arrietty
- The Tale of the Princess Kaguya

Overall, out of all 22 Studio Ghibli Films, I have seen 15… not too shabby 👌 (If I do say so myself).
This was a short and sweet kind of post, but it’s nice to have those sometimes! A good way to end the weekend I would say 😉
Anyways, what’s your favorite Studio Ghibli film? Have any suggestions for which film I should watch next? Be sure to leave it in the comments below!
And on that note, I will see you in the next post!

Howl’s Moving Castle is definitely my favorite. It’s a movie I put on when I need something on the background that won’t be too loud or too hard to watch. I love Howl.

Howl’s Moving Castle is great! Have you also read the book?
I really like that one, and Princess Mononoke is another favorite of mine (:
