BEDIO: Top Ten Tuesday… Let’s See How Long I Can Make This Title

Happy Tuesday everyone, and welcome back!

For this weeks Top Ten Tuesday, the topic is long book titles! I will be focusing on books that I actually own for this one, which I’ll be listing in order from titles with the least amount of words to titles with the most amount of words 👌

In honor of today’s post, I found an article written about the recent trend of book titles getting longer, so if that interests you at all, go ahead and check it out.

Pour Your Heart into It

This is a memoir from Howard Schultz, the founder of Starbucks, and it details his journey as he was starting up the company, from the inspiration he found in Italy, to how his beliefs influenced the company. I was given this book at the end of my junior year of college by someone who I did an internship with (she creates her own soaps and sells them, and I was helping edit/write content for her website). It was a good book, but it’s more special because it reminds me of the mornings and afternoons I spent at her house, doing work with Christopher Tin playing softly in the background and the scent of soap hanging in the air. It provided a much needed peaceful space during a crazy school year.

Red White And Royal Blue

Even though this was about an average read for me, I can definitely see why so many people loved it, and I did love the relationships in this book, even though I felt the story itself seemed to drag on at points.

Tales of Mystery and Imagination

This is a collection of Edgar Allen Poe’s work, which I found it through a Free Little Library (And that I’ve also mentioned on this blog before 👍). I loved the artwork and illustration, so I picked it up and it’s been in my collection since!

This is How it’s Always Been

I’ve talked about this book on my blog before, as I read it this past summer, but I loved how the story (despite having an almost whimsical tone to it) addressed the topic of trans identity, as well as gender identity, especially when it comes to younger children. There were points towards the end that may come off as unrealistic and might take you out of the story (it depends on how much you care about that kind of stuff), but I think the story overall was great.

The Secret Life of Prince Charming

I read this multiple times when I was in high school, mainly because I loved the concept of going on a road trip to return stolen items to their rightful owners… I promise it’s not as sinister as I made it sound 😂 (Or is it?). I just don’t want to go into more detail than that, because I don’t want to spoil anything 😉

To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before

Honestly, this whole trilogy was such a fun read, especially because I picked it up at the beginning of the pandemic, so it was the right set of books at the right time. All I wanted was a lighthearted story to escape into 🤷‍♂️

The Ultimate Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy

This is a bind up of all five books in the Hitchhikers Guide to The Galaxy series. I read the first three books, but since it’s been awhile, I want to reread them before going on to the last two books.

Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe

All I have to say, is that I read this book all in one day, and I couldn’t put it down. That’s all, take from it what you will.

Truth, Lies and Advertising: The Art of Account Planning

This is a book from my college years that I read for one of my marketing classes… Most likely my advertising class since it’s a book revolving around advertising. Gee, who would have guessed that?

It was the best of sentences, it was the worst of sentences

A grammar book I bought as I was starting to get back into writing, because I want to make sure my grammar doesn’t suck (at least, I’m hoping it doesn’t suck too much)😂👌
