Hey everyone!
I hope you’ve had a good start to your weekend (:
Today, I’m going to talk about what I read this past January, what I’m currently reading, and what I’m thinking of reading this February.
You can also read my last WWW Wednesday for a weekly summary of what I’ve been reading.
So, let’s go ahead and get right into it 👌
In January, I read 4 books, with one being non-fiction, one being a short story, one being fantasy, and the final one being an anthology. The books I read this month are:
Cultish by Amanda Montell (Check out my review here!)
The Body by Stephen King (Check out my review here!)
The Color of Magic by Terry Pratchett
Blackout by Dhonielle Clayton, Tiffany D. Jackson, Nic Stone, Angie Thomas Ashley Woodfolk, and Nicola Yoon

At the end of January, I started reading Legends & Lattes by Travis Baldree but didn’t finish it until February 1st (I was almost done on January 31st, but I fell asleep and finished the last 20 pages on the morning of February 1st 😂).
When I finished Legends & Lattes, I saw When No One is Watching by Alyssa Cole on my shelf and decided to start reading it. Although Alyssa Cole typically writes Romance, When No One is Watching is actually her first Thriller. I ended up reading over 100 pages on the first day I started, so the pacing is really good so far. I think the mystery and themes tied into the story are intriguing, and I keep wanting to read it!

Since February is Valentine’s Day and Black History Month, I was trying to find some books related to those topics, but after doing a quick glance at what’s on my shelf, I found a few Black authors whose books have been on my TBR, although none of them are romance 😂 These include:
Sorrowland by Rivers Solomon
Black AF History by Michael Harriot
The Fifth Season by N.K. Jemisin
Smash It! by Francina Simone
Real Life by Brandon Taylor

After I made the above graphic, I remembered that I had added a bunch of books to my Kindle, so I went looking through it. I did find one romance book I have on my Kindle, Outdrawn by Deanna Grey.
That’s about it for today’s post!
Any great stories you’re currently reading, finished reading, or plan on reading?
Let me know in the comments below!
Otherwise, I will talk to you in the next post 🦥
-Erin (:
