Hello, and welcome back to another post!
Since I haven’t done a WWW Wednesday in awhile, I felt now is the perfect opportunity to get back into the rhythm!
So, without further ado, here is my first WWW Wednesday of 2024!

What I Finished Reading
The first book I finished in the new year is Cultish: The Language of Fanaticism by Amanda Montell. This non-fiction book discusses the persuasive rhetoric and language used to get people involved in a group, whether it’s a cult, an MLM, or even exercise empires like SoulCycle. As someone who finds rhetoric and language, as well as cults, super interesting, I loved reading this book and learning more about how people can be influenced into joining something “cultish” (or even some of the psychology behind people more vulnerable to joining one).
The writing is approachable and easy to follow, so if this is a topic you’re interested in, and want a non-fiction read that isn’t super dense, this is the perfect book for you.
What I’m Currently Reading
I was at Barnes and Noble recently, and when I was over at the cafe, the $5 book deal was for this short story (or more of a novella I guess) from Stephen King. I hadn’t heard of it before and thought the premise sounded interesting, so I decided to go ahead and pick it up. So far it’s been a good read, so we’ll see how it ends!
What I Want To Read Next
Surprise, surprise there are a lot of books I am thinking of reading once I finish The Body 😂 I might go with one of the books I mentioned in my last Top Ten Tuesday post or one of the four books I’ve started and haven’t finished yet… Or it might even be something else entirely 😅
I’ll just have to see what I’m in the mood to read next!
