Banned Books Week 2023: Resources to Continue Fighting Books Bans

As today is Let Freedom Read Day, here is more information about what you can do to support the fight against book censorship, not just today but after Banned Books Week as well.

If you aren’t sure where to start when it comes to taking action, contact your local library (especially if they have a Friends of the Library Chapter), and attend school board meetings when/if possible.

For more information on book challenges and bans, as well as how you can help take action, check out the resources below:

General Information:

American Library Association (ALA)

Unite Against Book Bans

National Coalition Against Censorship (NCAC)

Thanks for joining me during this year’s Banned Books Week! It’s important to continue the fight against book censorship and allow students access to books.

On that note, see you in the next post!
